An ApiExtensionProxy configures VCF Automation as a transparent HTTP reverse proxy to a backend REST API. Unlike ApiExtension, no MQTT integration is required - VCF Automation simply forwards matching HTTP requests to the rootUrl and returns the backend’s response to the caller. This is the preferred integration pattern for services that expose their own HTTP API or UI within the management network.

rootUrl must be reachable from the VCF Automation appliance. The server certificate of the backend must be trusted by VCF Automation; see the VCF Automation certificate management documentation.enabled: false) does not remove the registration; it only suspends request forwarding.apiVersion: services.vcfa.broadcom.com/v2
