Add-Namespace¶

Synopsis¶

Creates a Namespace and applies extra configuration to it

Syntax¶

Add-Namespace [-server] <String> [-user] <String> [-pass] <String> [-domain] <String> [-cluster] <String> [-namespace] <String> [-storagePolicy] <String> [-ProgressAction <ActionPreference>] [<CommonParameters>]

Description¶

The Add-Namespace cmdlet creates a Namespace and applies its configuration. The cmdlet connects to SDDC Manager using the -server, -user, and -password values:

Validates that network connectivity and authentication is possible to SDDC Manager
Validates that network connectivity and authentication is possible to vCenter Server
Creates the Namespace.

This example creates a Namespace named sfo-w01-ns01 in the Supervisor Cluster sfo-w01-cl01 with a vSphere Storage Policy vsphere-with-tanzu-storage-policy.
