Broadcom Contributor License Agreement (CLA)

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Broadcom's projects. Before we can accept any Contribution from you, please review and agree to the terms of this agreement.

Terms

Broadcom's projects are open source. We welcome contributions under these conditions:

  1. Grant of Copyright License

    Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, you hereby grant to Broadcom and to recipients of software distributed by Broadcom a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contributions and such derivative works.

  2. Grant of Patent License

    Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, you hereby grant to Broadcom and to recipients of software distributed by Broadcom a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section), patent license...

  3. Representations

    You represent that you are legally entitled to grant the above license. If you are a legal entity, you represent that the person entering into this Agreement on behalf of the legal entity has the authority to bind the legal entity...

  4. Submission and Support

    You agree that your Contributions are original works. You represent that each of your Contributions is your or your employees’ original creation... You may provide support for free, for a fee, or not at all...

  5. Third-Party Submissions

    If you wish to submit work that is not your original creation, you may do so separately from any Contribution, providing complete details of its source and any license restrictions...

  6. Maintenance of Representations

    You agree to notify Broadcom at opensource@broadcom.com if facts or circumstances arise that would make these representations inaccurate in any respect.

  7. Governing Law

    This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its choice of law provisions, and by the laws of the United States...
